I am a Professor of Philosophy at Harvard University; formerly I was Lenore Stern Professor in the Humanities and Social Sciences at Tufts University.

Much of my work is in the philosophy of language and philosophy of logic; other work is in metaphysics and epistemology.  Some of my current work is about vagueness, relativism, and expressivism.  Here are some of the papers I’m working on at the moment; here are some recent publications; and here are some fun links and such.  And here, if you are especially sleep deprived, is my CV.

You can contact me at richard4 at fas dot harvard dot edu.
